The Black Friday Shopping Extravaganza will be held November 27 from 10 am to 6 pm at the beautiful Truman Waterfront mole by the USCGC Ingham Maritime Museum in Key West. The open air bazar is hosted by the Truman Waterfront Farmers Market, the Key West Artisan Market and Shop Mom & Pop Key West as a local alternative to online and big box stores. The event replaces the normal Thursday Farmers Market due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Shoppers can expect fine art and crafts, jewelry, candles, soap, sea glass, apparel, masks, fine Turkish towels, hemp products, metal sculpture, children's clothing, leather purses, hats, tie-dye, pop up cards, and many other creative gift ideas. Stock the pantry and fridge with fresh produce, exotic fruit, local seafood, honey, oils, spices, infused vinegars, pickles, pastries, cigars and much more. Food options will include smoothies, Mediterranean, authentic Indian, local seafood including fish and chips, lobster dinners and fried shrimp, ceviche, fish dip, Hotdogs, burgers and veggie burgers, béchamel, tamales, fresh guacamole & homemade chips and baked goods by May Sands Montessori School. A full bar by Great Events Catering will also be available.
Stringent safety measures and precautions will be in place to guard guests and the vendors who serve them. Masks are required, booths spaced out, social distance signage posted and the number of guests per stall limited. Key West First Legal Rum Distillery "Ruminizer" hand sanitizing stations will be at the entrances. Organizers remind attendees not congregate and maintain a six foot distance from other customers.
