Key West Food & Wine Festival introduces “Last Chef Standing”, a new cooking competition to benefit Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Florida Keys (VNA/Hospice).
Last Chef Standing is a cooking competition that is all about skill, speed and ingenuity. This week’s chefs include Chef Mike Zielinski of Mr. Z’s and Chef Mike Mills from Big John’s who will compete before a panel of expert judges and turn baskets of mystery ingredients into an extraordinary appetizer. For the challenge, each chef has seconds to plan and minutes to make an amazing dish with the basket of mystery ingredients given to them moments before the clock starts ticking. Hosted January 17th by Grand Vin Wine Bar (1107 Duval Street), this high energy, high pressure competition will have guests rooting for a winner and cheering for the losers. Tickets can be purchased at www.keywestfoodandwinefestival.com where you can also make an additional donation to VNA/Hospice.
