Event Description: The seventh annual American Cancer Society’s Gala of the Keys will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011, “Diamonds Are Forever,” in the style of classic “James Bond” cinema. We are anticipating over 250 attendees to enjoy this special evening at the Casa Marina Resort & Beach Club, The Astoria Collection, in Key West. This unique black tie affair will feature an award winning chef serving a delectable three course dinner to our guests. This memorable evening will be highlighted by adventurous surprises, and delicacies inspired by classic James Bond movies. There will be amazing auctions, opportunities to display your Bond themed garb, and photos for holding the memories. This is a signature event that was started in Dallas, Texas in 1974, that was branded as the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Barons’ Ball. Variations of the theme are used throughout the United States with more than 50 cities hosting this premier event. In Florida this year alone, Balls & Galas will provide more than $6.8 million toward the fight against cancer. The Gala of the Keys will be a fun, glamorous, upscale event where you can dress in your finest for this year’s event This will be an unforgettable night to remember and an opportunity to make a difference in many deserving children’s lives.
